  • "It takes a village to succeed and the keen ability to identify emerging trends and innovate along the way. I always lived with the visual of Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark blazing through the tunnel with that huge boulder rushing after him. That’s kind of how I felt… all the time. If I slowed down, we’d be crushed. Fashion really is a fast-moving industry, and the more success I had, the more worried I became because I knew we had to top the numbers from the year before."

  • "On the next day, we were on location doing lifestyle photos for look books and the website. This was a highly auspicious day with the seasonal vision finally brought to life through imagery. It was beyond thrilling to see the collection sing as the models moved. Even though we designed everything and knew the styles intimately, they came to life on the body, and it was like love at first sight."

  • "In the messy, chaotic world of fashion manufacturing, where Murphy’s law prevails each day, anything that can go wrong will go wrong. I learned to put out the fires first and ask questions later. It’s just the nature of the beast. But, I was in the game, following every move in real time. Making things overseas felt like a remote spectator sport, where you have little control over the outcomes. I’d rather be on the field in the stadium any day."
